Carbon Footprinting
A ‘Carbon Foot-print’ is commonly used to describe the total amount of CO2 and other greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for which an individual or organisation is responsible.
The full footprint of an organisation encompasses a wide range of emissions sources from direct use of fuels to indirect impacts such as employee travel or emissions from other organisations up and down the supply chain.
What do we offer?
- Assessment of organisational boundaries (what parts of the organisation are included?) and operational boundaries (what emissions are included?).
- Data collection and review of relevant variables, for example; gas, electricity, transport etc.
- Site visit to examine data provided and to assess its adequacy for carbon footprint production.
- Calculation of carbon footprint and verification of results.
- Clear, honest and concise presentation of results in report format.
What are the benefits?
- Management and reduction of emissions.
- Preparation for mandatory reporting requirements for climate change legislation, such as the Carbon Reduction Commitment or EU Emissions Trading Scheme.
